GOT QUESTIONS?
Frequently Asked Questions
What's included with a flip book photo booth rental?
Your flip book booth rental includes a fully staffed on-site setup that turns short video moments into a premium take-home keepsake. We bring the flip book studio (camera + lighting + printing/binding), curated props, and a backdrop, plus a custom cover design so every book feels made for your event. Two operators work together — one behind the camera, one at the printer/binder — so throughput stays high and quality stays consistent from the first book to the last.
How does the flip book booth work during the event?
Guests step in, grab props, and record a fun 7-second clip. We print the frames, bind the pages, and hand them a finished flip book — usually in about 90 seconds. It feels like a mini studio moment that keeps the energy high and the line moving. Because everything happens right there in front of them, guests watch their book come to life, which is half the fun.
How many flip books can you produce per hour?
On average we see 40-45 flip book sessions per hour. Each guest who participates walks away with a finished book in hand. For a 4-hour event, that’s 150-180 flip books. If your guest list is larger, we can set up multiple stations to keep wait times short.
How much space and power do you need for a flip book booth?
Plan for about 10’ x 12’ of open space so guests can line up comfortably and the camera angle stays clean. We’ll need access to a standard power outlet, and we typically use two 6’ tables for the camera/printing station and props. If your venue has a tight floor plan, tell us what you’re working with and we’ll make it work.
Can we customize the flip book cover design and branding?
Yes — the front and back covers are fully customizable. We can print your couple’s names and wedding date, your company logo and event name, school branding, or any design your art team provides. The cover is printed on the same full-color HD photographic paper as the pages inside, so the finished book looks polished and intentional, not like a souvenir from a generic kiosk.
Is the flip book booth staffed the entire time?
Yes. The flip book booth is fully staffed for the full rental period. Two operators work the event — one directing guests and managing the camera, one running the printer and binding station. Nobody’s left alone trying to figure it out, and the line keeps moving the whole night.
How far in advance should we book a flip book booth?
As soon as you have your event date and venue. Prime weekends in Dallas-Fort Worth tend to book early, especially during peak wedding and holiday seasons. If your date is coming up fast, reach out anyway — sometimes we can still fit you in.
Are flip books good for weddings?
They’re one of the most popular add-ons we do for weddings. A flip book works beautifully as a guest book alternative — instead of signing a card, every guest makes a physical keepsake they keep. The couple also ends up with a full set of their guests’ books, which tells the story of the night in a way a traditional guest book never could. Multigenerational groups especially love it: grandparents and kids are equally entertained, and everyone leaves with something tangible.
Can you customize the flip book cover?
Absolutely. We print whatever you’d like on the front and back covers — names and dates for weddings, logos and event names for corporate, school branding for proms and graduations. The covers are printed in full color on the same HD photographic paper as the pages inside. If your company or event has an established look, just send us the files and we’ll build the template before the event.
How long does it take to make a flip book?
The recording itself is 7 seconds. From there, our printing and binding operator turns those frames into a finished book in about 2-3 minutes — so guests who recorded at the start of the line are holding a completed flip book before the next group is done filming. It’s fast enough to keep the event moving and slow enough that guests get to watch the whole process happen right in front of them.
